The machine whisperer.
A technician at heart, the automation engineer configures, adapts, installs and repairs programming systems. On site, he adjusts settings and starts up electric and electronic devices. He draws up equipment plans for the installation and writes the user guides for clients. He designs the robots, networks them and integrates them into the manufacturing process. The automation engineer is called upon in case of electric, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic faults.
Where does he work? He is often to be found on the premises of industrial businesses in the food, car, aeronautics, power, mechanics, steel and metal industries etc.…
