Senior Manager Operations External Engagement

Your assignment

Purpose:
Working with the Director Operations Communications and other members of the Operations and Global Communications teams, implement a communications and engagement strategy that builds awareness and deepens understanding of PMI business and Operations (end-to-end supply chain) transformation to ultimately increase recognition by subject matter experts of PMI Operations as one of the global best-in-class.

Accountabilities:
Embed a proactive and consistent approach and strategy to PMI Operations external engagement and communication
- Deploy PMI Operations External Engagement & Communication Strategy and Plan with external agency support
- Act as the primary liaison between agency and Operations' stakeholders
- Manage delivery against project timelines and budget

Support external recognition program
- Working with Operations' Strategy team, identify and prepare content for external recognition applications
- Coach presenters on key messages, presentation skills and engagement techniques
- Develop and publish content relating to awards - ratings, successes, team recognitions etc. - using external & internal channels
- Work with the communications agency to scout, identify, and present potential recognition programs which could be of interest to Operations

Lead content creation and curation
- Based on strategic priorities set out in the communications strategy, work with Leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify and collect compelling content
- Following a 'Newsroom' approach, adapt content and publish in appropriate external & internal communication channels and forums
- Working with the communications agency, develop a global Operations external messages playbook & communication channel guidelines

Coach and Support Operations Spokespeople
- Coach designated Operations Spokespeople to build their communications capabilities including fostering dialog
- Support capability development training, working with PMI-appointed media & presentation trainers
- Support preparation of external communications (i.e. speaking engagements, LinkedIn)
- Answer ad hoc requests from non-designated spokespeople concerning external engagement requests

Measurement tracking and analysis
- Measure and analyze impact of communications against plan, adapting approach and plan as required based on data/feedback
- Support governance model including full alignment with PMI Global External Affairs and Sustainability Communications, also Legal, Regulatory and Investor Relations requirements

Regular activities
- Contribute to management updates and reports when required
- Support project-based, agile working
- Active member of the Operations Communications team

Your profile

Education
- Degree in Communications or Public Relations

Work Experience
- 10-12 years external communications experience including experience in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain, Production & Supply
- Media relations and public relations experience, particularly Industrial, business-to-business
- Track record in identifying new opportunities and innovative approaches to engage audiences
- Executive communications coaching and content creation
- Social media curation and SEO experience
