Your assignment

Mandated by one our client company, we are looking for a BIO (Biotechnology) Site Business Unit MRP ("Material Requirements Planning”) Planner in Visp. - Duration 01-Jun-2023 to 30-Apr-2024 (between 10 to 11 months)
- Job Location: Visp
- Hybrid (2-3 days a week onsite) but also Remote possible (only from Switzerland)
- Working hours: (normal working hours approx. 8:00 to 17:00)
- Language requirements - English (Business Fluent), German preferred (Beginner)
- Travel? No Travel required
- Reports to: Team Supply Planner


Description The Site Business Unit MRP Planner is accountable/responsible (ROH, CSTM, VERP) for : - Material planning management
- Master and transactional data
- Inventory management
- Process improvement


The Visp Bio (biotechnology) BU MRP Planner: - General:
- Apply and promote company culture and code of conduct
- Ensure compliance to applicable regulations

  - Material planning management
- Create VSF (Vendor Scheduling Agreement (VSA) Forecast) for independent requirements
- Drive and convert purchase requisitions to purchase order at the right time considering the supplier lead time and the release time o Maintain purchase orders accordingly to supplier confirmation
- Contact supplier if delivery date is not fitting the requirement date
- Liaise with Operational Buyer for escalation and use Procurement tracker when needed
- Oversee release and contact QA for release prioritization o Identify key roadblocks and report to line manager

  - Master and transactional data
- Create, maintain, delete material master data parameters to ensure systems fit the need of the business
- Check transactional data to ensure that systems reflect real time status

  - Inventory management
- Drive reduction of excess inventory to ensure optimal level of material under his profit centers to prevent losses and/or scrap.
- Process improvement
- Contribute and deploy Global and Local initiatives
- Contribute to harmonized / standardized KPI’s definition o Use harmonized / standardized KPI’s to define improvement initiatives and action plan
- Identify, share with pears, and propose best practice to line manager
- Document processes and tasks accordingly to cGMP and ISO 9001 standards
- Apply applicable financial regulations o Liaise with Operational Buyer for Procurement Master Data quality and for packaging size optimization

Your profile



- Swiss and/or EU nationality or an already existing and valid work permit for Switzerland.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience preferred, but 0-4 years of experience will also be considered
- Strong knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, German preferred
- Familiarity with applicable financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with SAP and other MRP software is preferred
