Connecting pipes.

The plumber installs pipes for drinking water, gas and compressed air. He organises the transport of materials and their storage on the building site. He checks the fittings before they are put into use and carries out testing. He mounts and connects wash hand basins, baths, toilets, sinks and showers and connects the pipework to the grid. He maintains and repairs piping in domestic and industrial buildings, both inside and outside.
The plumber carries out a variety of tasks and is mainly sheltered from the weather. He works with architects and draughtsmen in building techniques. He coordinates his work with other construction specialists. Depending on the size of the building site, he may work alone or with a colleague.
