A creator of green spaces
The landscape gardener creates, makes over and landscapes green spaces which are privately owned (gardens, courtyards, terraces) or in public hands (roundabouts, playgrounds, parks). They take measurements, create designs or follow architects' plans, prepare the ground and vegetation to be planted according to their flowering periods as well as criteria relating to aesthetics, durability and maintenance.
Employed by architectural practices, public bodies or SMEs, the landscape gardener frequently works outdoors and cooperates with town planners, gardeners and horticulturists.
