1. How can I find a job with Manpower?

a. By searching Manpower's ad's on job boards (jobup, monster, jobs.ch, etc.).
b. By finding a Manpower ad in a newspaper.
c. By browsing through the vacancies on our website.
d. By making a spontaneous application.

  1. Job board ad
    Apply via the website where you spotted the ad.  Depending on the job board, either you will be asked to apply on the site itself or you will be redirected to www.manpower.ch.
  2. Newspaper ad
    Send your application by mail or e-mail to the consultant mentioned in the ad.
  3. Ad posted on www.manpower.ch
    You must create a personal account – i.e. full registration – before being able to apply to online job ads or fill out the quick registration form once you’re logged into your account.
  4. Spontaneous application
    You can drop off your application at one of our branches, forward it by mail or send it to us by e-mail. Thereafter, if you see a job ad that interests you, contact the consultant mentioned in the ad.

2. How do I create a personal 'MyManpower' account on the Manpower website?

On the Manpower home page, click on the "Register" button. You can then choose between quick registration and full registration. Note that whichever option you choose, you will need to have an e-mail address before creating your account. Once you click on [confirm], you will be sent a confirmation e-mail. Click on the link in the e-mail to activate your personal account.

3. What is the difference between quick registration and full registration?

Your choice of registration type will determine which area's you can access in your 'MyManpower' account.

Quick registration: Allows you to save your job search criteria, subscribe to e-mail job alerts and to our newsletter. To apply for a job, you must complete a full registration.

Full registration: Lets you access all areas of your 'MyManpower' account. You can then submit your CV, save your search criteria, receive job alerts per e-mail, subscribe to our newsletter, apply for jobs online, and benefit from additional employment advice, etc.
In order to access all these areas, you must upload your CV when you register. Please keep your CV ready in a PDF or word file upon starting registration.

4. If I register on www.manpower.ch, will I still need to register with a branch?

Yes.  As with any hiring process, you will have to come to a branch in person to meet with a consultant. The Manpower website is designed to facilitate your job search and represents a source of information and advice. You can view published jobs and forward your application when you find a job that interests you. If your profile matches our requirements, a consultant will invite you to come for an interview and to bring the necessary documents.
Registering on manpower.ch is the first step in your registration with Manpower.

5. How do I register with a branch?

Bring your complete application (including your CV, list of references, copies of diploma's, educational certificate's, work certificate's, recommendations, etc.) as well as a cover letter if you are responding to an ad published by Manpower.
Documents required for branch registration:

  • CV 
  • Diplomas 
  • Work certificates 
  • Official documents (work permits, OASI card, bank account information, driving license, etc.)

In other words, all the documents that are required in order to sign a work contract.

Which branch should I choose?
Most branches are generalist but some specialize in a given sector (i.e. Finance & Administration; Marketing & Trade, Banking & Insurance; Manufacturing & Distribution; Logistics & Transportation; Construction; Watch making; Technical & Engineering; Medical; and Hotels & Restaurants).
When you register online and create your account, choose your sector as well as your preferred location in the scrolling menu.

6. Can I apply online even if I am not registered?

Yes, however, before sending your application, you will be redirected to the full registration form. Here you will need to create a personal 'MyManpower' account and upload your CV. Next, you will have to confirm your account details and a confirmation e-mail containing a link will be sent to you. Open your e-mail and click on the link to activate your account. After this step, you will be able to access your account and your application will be saved and confirmed.

7. I have completed the registration process but cannot access my account. What next?

To access your MyManpower account, you have to activate it by opening the link we sent to you by e-mail to the address you used for registration (link on bottom of the message).

  1. If the e-mail is not in your inbox, please check your junk mail or spam folders.
  2. If you cannot open the link directly, copy and paste it into the address bar of your web browser.
  3. If the link is two lines long, you may have to copy and paste each line separately.

8. What can I do if I forgot my password?

You forgot your password or cannot login? Go back to the main page of our website (Home). Click on the field “Forgot your password?” inside the orange box for “Candidates” and follow the instructions. You will receive a new password by e-mail to the address used for registration. Once you’ve accessed your MyManpower account, you can change the password under “login details”.

9. How can I delete my MyManpower account?

Please sent us en e-mail to internet(at)manpower.ch an briefly explain why you want to delete your account.

10. I have already registered with Manpower some time ago, do I have to register again?

Please send an updated curriculum to your former contact agency or the agency situated nearest to where you live. Please explain your past experience with Manpower and your current career objectives in a short note.
