1960Acquisition of a Swiss license and opening of Manpower Switzerland with a base in Geneva.
1968"Fondation de la Fédération Suisse des Entreprises de Travail Temporaire" (FSETT) of which Manpower is a founding member.
1986Manpower develops a unique training and assessment concept.
1993Creation of "Atouts pour l’emploi", a program aimed at helping job-seekers to reintegrate into the work environment.
1998The FSEPT (Fédération Suisse des Entreprises de Placement privé et de Travail temporaire) becomes the USSE (Union Suisse des Services de l’Emploi), and regroups companies offering temporary employment as well as those comprising only permanent positions.
2000Manpower Inc. acquires Elan, the European leader in recruitment in the technology and IT fields.
The alliance with SHL, group leader in tests and psychometric evaluations, allows Manpower Inc. to expand its offering to include high-end services.
Number one in Switzerland! Creation of a joint enterprise «Work_link » between Manpower, Swisscom and the unions. Its objective is to reintegrate employees of a certain age who have been affected by the restructuring of the Swisscom Group into the world of work.
2001Launch of Global Learning Center in Switzerland offering almost 2,000 online IT, office, management and sales courses.
2002Manpower is a key player at the Expo 02 Job Center.
2003Onsite management (employees recruited on the company's own premises) for a number of important mandates: Cirque du Soleil, Telecom, etc.
Creation of a Manpower Food Pool (nom submitted) which involves a pool of qualified temporary employees in the food industry.
CSR: Manpower becomes a member of the Philias foundation to demonstrate its commitment to corporate social responsibility (Atouts pour l’emploi, Worklink, Global Learning Center).
2004Manpower Inc. is acquired by RightManagement Consultants, the world's first outplacement and management consulting company.
2005Manpower Swiss Employment Outlook Survey is launched in Switzerland.
Charles Bélaz, CEO of Manpower Suisse, takes over as head of Swissstaffing, formally "Union Suisse des Services de l’Emploi" (USSE).
2006New brand identity.
